Narrative:
A normal approach and landing was made to watt-woodland airport in an small aircraft retractable (speed on final of 70-75 KTS). T/D just past #south smooth on mains first, then slowly lowered nose into nose gear. Speed decreasing nicely. As I was coasting on the runway at a taxiing speed (near end of runway to make my turnoff), suddenly the nose gear collapsed and lower cowl contacted runway. Then the left wheel collapsed and aircraft quickly stopped on runway with left wing down and nose down. (On final green light for gear down was on.)
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: GEAR COLLAPSE FOR LNDG SMA.
Narrative: A NORMAL APCH AND LNDG WAS MADE TO WATT-WOODLAND ARPT IN AN SMA RETRACTABLE (SPD ON FINAL OF 70-75 KTS). T/D JUST PAST #S SMOOTH ON MAINS FIRST, THEN SLOWLY LOWERED NOSE INTO NOSE GEAR. SPD DECREASING NICELY. AS I WAS COASTING ON THE RWY AT A TAXIING SPD (NEAR END OF RWY TO MAKE MY TURNOFF), SUDDENLY THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED AND LOWER COWL CONTACTED RWY. THEN THE LEFT WHEEL COLLAPSED AND ACFT QUICKLY STOPPED ON RWY WITH LEFT WING DOWN AND NOSE DOWN. (ON FINAL GREEN LIGHT FOR GEAR DOWN WAS ON.)
