Narrative:
Fuel consumption was greater than normal in first leg of flight. Wind change made me overshoot intended airport of landing. (Off course). Too much wca not being thoroughly familiar with rules regarding TCAS. Not understanding what's going on at the arlington airport. No radio communication. Fuel gauge was not working properly en route from elsa, tx, to lockhart. At lockhart airplane took on more fuel than it should have for the time flown. En route from lockhart I had intended to land at cleburne. Using a course on the east side of the interstate because it is not as hilly. Choosing the flatter terrain because I did not trust the fuel gauge or fuel consumption to be accurate or normal. The tailwind increased and became more south than east. I added too much wind correction angle and xed the interstate I-35E north of hillsboro instead of I-35 south of hillsboro as planned. I mistook waxahatchie for hillsboro. At this time I thought I was on course, but as time passed and I did not see cleburne, I realized I was off course. I was then able to see the dallas ft worth area and the arlington airport. The normal flight time at cruise with the '450' is 2 hours. Because of my distrust for the fuel gauge I had shorted it to 1.5 hours. This time had passed, I decided to land at arlington rather than go back against the wind to cleburne. I mistakenly thought I could fly under the floor of the TCA west/O a transponder. I landed runway 34 thinking that I might have an emergency fuel situation. Upon refueling, the airplane took on normal amount of fuel. I departed runway 16 and headed south and west skirting around ft worth by way of weatherford. They are using the taxiway for a runway. The runway 16 may be closed, maybe I took off on the runway that is closed, I don't know, there is nothing in aim or on the chart to say it's closed. Maybe in NOTAMS, because I did not intend to land at arlington, I hadn't checked it out. There is also a tower there. There's not supposed to be a tower there, any way they gave me a green light to takeoff.

Title: OLD CROP DUSTER PLT ON A FERRY FLT WITHOUT A RADIO OR NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT GETS LOST IN HIS NAVIGATION PROC AS WINDS ALOFT CHANGE DIRECTION. INACCURATE FUEL GAUGES PROMPT HIM TO LAND AT MOST SUITABLE ARPT WHERE HE PENETRATES THE TCA OF DFW WITHOUT A CLRNC OR TRANSPONDER AND DOESN'T MENTION GETTING A GREEN LIGHT TO LAND AT ARLINGTON, TX, ARPT WHICH IS USING A TXWY FOR A RWY.
Narrative: FUEL CONSUMPTION WAS GREATER THAN NORMAL IN FIRST LEG OF FLT. WIND CHANGE MADE ME OVERSHOOT INTENDED ARPT OF LNDG. (OFF COURSE). TOO MUCH WCA NOT BEING THOROUGHLY FAMILIAR WITH RULES REGARDING TCAS. NOT UNDERSTANDING WHAT'S GOING ON AT THE ARLINGTON ARPT. NO RADIO COM. FUEL GAUGE WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY ENRTE FROM ELSA, TX, TO LOCKHART. AT LOCKHART AIRPLANE TOOK ON MORE FUEL THAN IT SHOULD HAVE FOR THE TIME FLOWN. ENRTE FROM LOCKHART I HAD INTENDED TO LAND AT CLEBURNE. USING A COURSE ON THE E SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE BECAUSE IT IS NOT AS HILLY. CHOOSING THE FLATTER TERRAIN BECAUSE I DID NOT TRUST THE FUEL GAUGE OR FUEL CONSUMPTION TO BE ACCURATE OR NORMAL. THE TAILWIND INCREASED AND BECAME MORE S THAN E. I ADDED TOO MUCH WIND CORRECTION ANGLE AND XED THE INTERSTATE I-35E N OF HILLSBORO INSTEAD OF I-35 S OF HILLSBORO AS PLANNED. I MISTOOK WAXAHATCHIE FOR HILLSBORO. AT THIS TIME I THOUGHT I WAS ON COURSE, BUT AS TIME PASSED AND I DID NOT SEE CLEBURNE, I REALIZED I WAS OFF COURSE. I WAS THEN ABLE TO SEE THE DALLAS FT WORTH AREA AND THE ARLINGTON ARPT. THE NORMAL FLT TIME AT CRUISE WITH THE '450' IS 2 HRS. BECAUSE OF MY DISTRUST FOR THE FUEL GAUGE I HAD SHORTED IT TO 1.5 HRS. THIS TIME HAD PASSED, I DECIDED TO LAND AT ARLINGTON RATHER THAN GO BACK AGAINST THE WIND TO CLEBURNE. I MISTAKENLY THOUGHT I COULD FLY UNDER THE FLOOR OF THE TCA W/O A XPONDER. I LANDED RWY 34 THINKING THAT I MIGHT HAVE AN EMER FUEL SITUATION. UPON REFUELING, THE AIRPLANE TOOK ON NORMAL AMOUNT OF FUEL. I DEPARTED RWY 16 AND HEADED S AND W SKIRTING AROUND FT WORTH BY WAY OF WEATHERFORD. THEY ARE USING THE TXWY FOR A RWY. THE RWY 16 MAY BE CLOSED, MAYBE I TOOK OFF ON THE RWY THAT IS CLOSED, I DON'T KNOW, THERE IS NOTHING IN AIM OR ON THE CHART TO SAY IT'S CLOSED. MAYBE IN NOTAMS, BECAUSE I DID NOT INTEND TO LAND AT ARLINGTON, I HADN'T CHKED IT OUT. THERE IS ALSO A TWR THERE. THERE'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A TWR THERE, ANY WAY THEY GAVE ME A GREEN LIGHT TO TKOF.
