Narrative:
After chocking the nose gear; the jet way began moving forward. I then noticed engine number 1 still running; beacon lights off; and jet way started to move forward. Then I stopped jet way and I made sure that my wing walkers were still in position outside stopping traffic due to the fact that engine number 1 still running. At which I called control center to notify them that the engine number 1 was still running. Maintenance witnessed that the engine was still running while the beacon lights are off. They later did an engine run and discovered that the engine had issues.
