Narrative:
ZDC cleared us to cross 30 DME south of sie at 11000'. I programmed the FMS for this point. My copilot was flying and I was doing the descent checklist and watching for traffic. At 20 DME south (we were going north) ZDC asked if we had received the crossing restriction. When we checked the FMS it had only accepted 3.0 NM, not 30.0. Pilots need to pay more attention to what the program and verify that it is correct. Both pilots need to verify information in FMS.

Title: ALT DEVIATION. UNDERSHOOT ON DESCENT. ALT CROSSING RESTRICTION NOT MET.
Narrative: ZDC CLRED US TO CROSS 30 DME S OF SIE AT 11000'. I PROGRAMMED THE FMS FOR THIS POINT. MY COPLT WAS FLYING AND I WAS DOING THE DSNT CHKLIST AND WATCHING FOR TFC. AT 20 DME S (WE WERE GOING N) ZDC ASKED IF WE HAD RECEIVED THE XING RESTRICTION. WHEN WE CHKED THE FMS IT HAD ONLY ACCEPTED 3.0 NM, NOT 30.0. PLTS NEED TO PAY MORE ATTN TO WHAT THE PROGRAM AND VERIFY THAT IT IS CORRECT. BOTH PLTS NEED TO VERIFY INFO IN FMS.
