Narrative:
On initial approach into mco, electronic engine control found to be malfunctioning making engine management difficult but possible. This, in turn, required unusually high rate of descent approach the FAF. Autoplt failed to capture assigned altitude (2500'), possibly due to descent rate. Manual override and corrective action initiated approximately 2600'. Deviation of about 500' due to high descent rate with climb to assigned altitude as soon as possible resulted. Normal approach and landing made after correction.

Narrative: ON INITIAL APCH INTO MCO, ELECTRONIC ENG CTL FOUND TO BE MALFUNCTIONING MAKING ENG MGMNT DIFFICULT BUT POSSIBLE. THIS, IN TURN, REQUIRED UNUSUALLY HIGH RATE OF DSNT APCH THE FAF. AUTOPLT FAILED TO CAPTURE ASSIGNED ALT (2500'), POSSIBLY DUE TO DSNT RATE. MANUAL OVERRIDE AND CORRECTIVE ACTION INITIATED APPROX 2600'. DEVIATION OF ABOUT 500' DUE TO HIGH DSNT RATE WITH CLB TO ASSIGNED ALT ASAP RESULTED. NORMAL APCH AND LNDG MADE AFTER CORRECTION.
