Narrative:
A night landing was executed at marathon airport. Landing was routine with the exception of the pilot controled runway lights were operating intermittently. Taxiway lights were operational. The precision approach path indicator (PAPI) lights were operational too! This is a frequent problem which should be corrected. We were able to execute a safe and normal landing using the operational lights. I feel this problem can be corrected by frequent testing of the pilot controled lighting system at marathon airport.
