Narrative:

Controller issued clearance to 11000'. Passing through 10600' he asked what altitude we were climbing to. We responded 11000' and he told us there was no problem, but we'd only been cleared to 10000'. We were positive the controller said 11000' and he was positive he said 10000'. One of us made a mistake.
