Narrative:
While on on ILS to runway 08 at bur with the G/south inoperative, and after switching to bur tower (which occurred prior to reaching MDA), tower advised us to check our altitude. All 3 altimeters showed above the MDA by 40' or more, we told bur tower we were above MDA (1140') with ground contact. After landing on runway 8 I found the marker beacon selected to high which may have caused us to start down from our OM crossing altitude slightly early, which would have caused our arrival at the MDA to be further from the end of the runway than normal. To prevent this from happening again, I will include the marker beacon switch in my approach briefing!
