Narrative:
1500' MSL cruise condition. Engine RPM reduces to 1000 RPM with full throttle. Glide speed is maintained, field is picked for emergency landing. Pne tower advised of location and emergency while restart procedure is applied. Engine restart at 900' MSL with recycle of ignition switch. Landed safely at uncontrolled field. Contacted pne tower to advise of safe landing. I later found out that engine failed on takeoff previous day, but was not taken OTS because it flew afterward with no problems. But, after engine failure occurred, aircraft was still not taken OTS and was rented to a student pilot. Engine failed on landing rollout next day, then put OTS.

Narrative: 1500' MSL CRUISE CONDITION. ENG RPM REDUCES TO 1000 RPM WITH FULL THROTTLE. GLIDE SPD IS MAINTAINED, FIELD IS PICKED FOR EMER LNDG. PNE TWR ADVISED OF LOCATION AND EMER WHILE RESTART PROC IS APPLIED. ENG RESTART AT 900' MSL WITH RECYCLE OF IGNITION SWITCH. LANDED SAFELY AT UNCONTROLLED FIELD. CONTACTED PNE TWR TO ADVISE OF SAFE LNDG. I LATER FOUND OUT THAT ENG FAILED ON TKOF PREVIOUS DAY, BUT WAS NOT TAKEN OTS BECAUSE IT FLEW AFTERWARD WITH NO PROBS. BUT, AFTER ENG FAILURE OCCURRED, ACFT WAS STILL NOT TAKEN OTS AND WAS RENTED TO A STUDENT PLT. ENG FAILED ON LNDG ROLLOUT NEXT DAY, THEN PUT OTS.
