Narrative:
Rough engine dictated precautionary landing for magneto check. Oil on bottom of right magneto indicated problem. Corrective action to repair oil seal was taken. Airport was closed due to construction in area. (Extending runway). Two low passes over the airport revealed no construction being done at this time and no workmen in the area. Airport was completely safe for a landing under the circumstances.

Title: SMA ENGINE BEGINS RUNNING ROUGH SO PLT MAKES PRECAUTIONARY LNDG AT NON TWR ARPT THAT TURNS OUT TO BE CLOSED FOR CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY.
Narrative: ROUGH ENG DICTATED PRECAUTIONARY LNDG FOR MAGNETO CHK. OIL ON BOTTOM OF R MAGNETO INDICATED PROB. CORRECTIVE ACTION TO REPAIR OIL SEAL WAS TAKEN. ARPT WAS CLOSED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION IN AREA. (EXTENDING RWY). TWO LOW PASSES OVER THE ARPT REVEALED NO CONSTRUCTION BEING DONE AT THIS TIME AND NO WORKMEN IN THE AREA. ARPT WAS COMPLETELY SAFE FOR A LNDG UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES.
