Narrative:
Flying from phl to pit. We left on time and found ourselves in a very frustrating and confusing time with both pregnd and ground control. We came off the D concourse and were holding on the ramp when ground called us. Ground issued a clearance to hold short of taxiway a, which we did. For some particular reason ground control had a hard time identing us on the ramp. We told ground more than once that we were holding short of alpha taxiway on romeo. We were finally given a taxi clearance to cross runway 27R. Right after our clearance to cross, ground issued a clearance to a corp jet to continue taxiing down taxiway a. They had been holding in the vicinity of charlie on alpha. By now we were moving and approaching alpha, the corp jet too was moving and appeared to have no intention of stopping. I stopped my aircraft to stop from hitting the corp jet. He passed in front of us and continued down alpha toward the commuter ramp. I asked ground if they saw the corp jet that xed in front of us. There was no comment. We called ground again and asked if we were still cleared to cross runway 27R. We were and xed and went to tower. My concern is that the safety of my flight was in jeopardy while on both pregnd and ground control. The situation of aircraft movement on the ground in phl is now unsafe and getting worse.

Title: FLT CREW OF ACR MLG HAS CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH A JET SMT DURING TAXI FOR TKOF AT PHL.
Narrative: FLYING FROM PHL TO PIT. WE LEFT ON TIME AND FOUND OURSELVES IN A VERY FRUSTRATING AND CONFUSING TIME WITH BOTH PREGND AND GND CTL. WE CAME OFF THE D CONCOURSE AND WERE HOLDING ON THE RAMP WHEN GND CALLED US. GND ISSUED A CLRNC TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY A, WHICH WE DID. FOR SOME PARTICULAR REASON GND CTL HAD A HARD TIME IDENTING US ON THE RAMP. WE TOLD GND MORE THAN ONCE THAT WE WERE HOLDING SHORT OF ALPHA TXWY ON ROMEO. WE WERE FINALLY GIVEN A TAXI CLRNC TO CROSS RWY 27R. RIGHT AFTER OUR CLRNC TO CROSS, GND ISSUED A CLRNC TO A CORP JET TO CONTINUE TAXIING DOWN TXWY A. THEY HAD BEEN HOLDING IN THE VICINITY OF CHARLIE ON ALPHA. BY NOW WE WERE MOVING AND APCHING ALPHA, THE CORP JET TOO WAS MOVING AND APPEARED TO HAVE NO INTENTION OF STOPPING. I STOPPED MY ACFT TO STOP FROM HITTING THE CORP JET. HE PASSED IN FRONT OF US AND CONTINUED DOWN ALPHA TOWARD THE COMMUTER RAMP. I ASKED GND IF THEY SAW THE CORP JET THAT XED IN FRONT OF US. THERE WAS NO COMMENT. WE CALLED GND AGAIN AND ASKED IF WE WERE STILL CLRED TO CROSS RWY 27R. WE WERE AND XED AND WENT TO TWR. MY CONCERN IS THAT THE SAFETY OF MY FLT WAS IN JEOPARDY WHILE ON BOTH PREGND AND GND CTL. THE SITUATION OF ACFT MOVEMENT ON THE GND IN PHL IS NOW UNSAFE AND GETTING WORSE.
