Narrative:
Aircraft blocked out and returned to gate with write up 'lh engine anti ice valve stuck close with switch in on position' while performing MEL dmp step #4 states 'rotate 90 degrees clockwise to lock open position'. Illustration indicates that the vane should be turned 90 degrees counterclockwise. Verified illustration was the same as depicted on the valve of the aircraft. Contacted amc for clarification they agreed vane should be rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise. Performed dmp. Deferred valve per MEL.

Title: B757 Technician reported that the MEL stated to 'Rotate a valve 90 degrees CLOCKWISE' to open and the Illustration indicates that the vane should be turned 90 degrees COUNTERCLOCKWISE.
