Narrative:
I was working as an 'right' controller traffic was light. Air carrier X and air carrier Y were in conflict at FL330. Air carrier X was asked if he could accept FL370. He replied negative. Air carrier X was turned 30 degree left for traffic. Air carrier X was again turned left to 345 degree heading. Air carrier Y was turned left 20 degrees for traffic. It appeared that this was not going to provide 5 mi lateral sep. Air carrier X was turned right heading 090 degree expedite your turn, descend and maintain FL290 immediately. Air carrier Y climb and maintain FL350 immediately, fly heading 345 degree. Sep was lost at 4.34, 1300' vertical.
