Narrative:
We were flying the sadde four arrival to the los angeles international airport from the avenal transition at FL290. About 75 mi before fillmore, we were cleared to FL240 and initiated the descent. The copilot, who was working the radios, said that he was going off frequency to call company ramp as per standard company policy for gate assignment. The ramp frequency was congested and required his full attention. ATC gave me a frequency change. The new controller gave us a clearance for the runway 24/25 profile descent to los angeles. I looked one more time at the sadde our arrival and noted the symon intersection of fim 148/12 280 KT and to expect clearance to cross at 12000'. I started the descent, set 12000' in the altitude reminder, and got out the runway 24/25 profile descent page and noted the symon crossing restriction of 12000' and 280 KTS. Shortly thereafter the copilot finished talking to ramp control and advised me of the gate and that terminal six was having problems with the fire extinguishing water sprinklers. I advised him of the clearance and our current status. About 30 NM from fillmore, the copilot called my attention to the crossing restriction over fillmore of between FL190 and 15000'. I reviewed the runway 24/25 profile descent and noted the fillmore crossing. I changed the altitude reminder to 15000' and xed fillmore at 15000'.
