Narrative:
Radar training was in progress and the developmental took a handoff on small transport X descending to 500'. The small transport X appeared to be on a heading to go behind small transport Y at 5000'. The radar developmental took action to ensure sep and exchanged traffic. I was later informed that standard sep was not maintained.
