Narrative:
The day after the event I was made aware of the incident by the crew who took our aircraft that we may have flown an aircraft with the zero fuel weight (ZFW) cg out of the aircraft envelope. They sent a text message to me. We received a weight and balance from the gateway that had a ZFW of 420;000 and a ZFW cg of 12.4 which is apparently outside the envelope. The resulting takeoff weight and cg were inside the envelope at 592;400 and 17.5. Nowhere in our procedures does it have us reference the flight envelope to see if the loaded ZFW is within limits. We received what we thought would be a valid weight and balance. My suggestion would be to not let the computer provide weight and balance if it isn't within limits. Or change our procedure to cross reference the manual flight envelope to ensure that the aircraft has been loaded within the ZFW cg envelope.
