Narrative:
Abeam the field at 3;000 feet MSL we accepted a visual for a left downwind approach. A lower altitude was selected; however; a base turn was delayed due to task saturation. On base leg we realized we were a bit low. We received an obstacle caution advisory from the egpws. We disengaged the autopilot and climbed back up [about] 500 feet. We then lined up with the runway; continued the approach; and landed without incident.
