Narrative:
Approximately 150 NM from christmas island en route from hnl the first officer's windshield began arcing. Window heat was turned off and the emergency checklist initiated. The windshield cracked in half vertical and a descent was initiated in VMC conditions. The checklist was completed and hnl arinc was advised of our departure from assigned altitude and an emergency was declared. The window continued cracking during descent. Leveled at 10000' and 250 KTS and continued to christmas island and landed.

Title: IN CRUISE AT FL330 FO WINDSHIELD BEGAN ARCING FROM THE WINDSHIELD ELECTRICAL HEATING UNIT. HEAT TURNED OFF, FLT CREW OBTAINED CLRNC, DESCENDED, LANDED NEAREST.
Narrative: APPROX 150 NM FROM CHRISTMAS ISLAND ENRTE FROM HNL THE F/O'S WINDSHIELD BEGAN ARCING. WINDOW HEAT WAS TURNED OFF AND THE EMER CHKLIST INITIATED. THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED IN HALF VERT AND A DSNT WAS INITIATED IN VMC CONDITIONS. THE CHKLIST WAS COMPLETED AND HNL ARINC WAS ADVISED OF OUR DEP FROM ASSIGNED ALT AND AN EMER WAS DECLARED. THE WINDOW CONTINUED CRACKING DURING DSNT. LEVELED AT 10000' AND 250 KTS AND CONTINUED TO CHRISTMAS ISLAND AND LANDED.
