Narrative:

This [report] is to highlight a possible taxi issue at sat. There is a note on the new jeppesen 10-9 page about clearing at taxiway delta from runway 13R. This is quite easy to miss as the page has too many notes. On arrival; I very nearly fell into the trap of going straight into the ramp from taxiway delta. The island in this area is not grass as it is just to the south and east. The green paint is very hard to recognize at night when the glare from the terminal building is behind it. Also; the blue edge lights are quite widely spaced and it may look like a clear path ahead. This one almost got me. I would not [be] the least bit surprised if an aircraft has already taxied through this spot. As a start; place a pilot message in the flight plan. To further mitigate the threat; artificial grass could be used and the lights could be improved in the area in question.
