Narrative:
The flight began at the ramp for a first solo flight with a student pilot onboard. Immediately preceding this flight said instructor and student performed four takeoff and landings. The student received zero assistance from the instructor on this flight and felt the student was competent and ready for solo flight. After performing the ground check and before takeoff checklists the student requested takeoff to remain in the pattern. After applying full power and accelerating through 40 knots the student was unable to keep the aircraft on a straight trajectory and veered to the left. When the student realized she would roll off of the runway she pulled the power to idle; applied full brake and contacted the tower informing them of the occurrence. The controller responded telling the student to shut the engine down and that a tow would be out to bring her back to the ramp. The ATIS information read wind 130@11 knots; 10 SM visibility and sky clear.
