Narrative:
Requested flight following to ZZZ; upon hand off to ZZZ tower; we were instructed to make left base for 30R; and was also cleared to land 30R. Once on left base; tower advised similar call sign to turn heading 270 for traffic. The tower mistook our call sign and we did not know the instructions were for our aircraft. Upon realizing this we turned around to heading 270; and noticed a near miss with a piagio P180 on final for the 30L. Once on heading 270; were were then instructed to make a left turn back around to a left base for 30R; and noticed mid turn we were near a helicopter resulting a 2nd near miss.
