Narrative:
I have some concern with a trend of stations not answering in range ACARS and/or radio calls. This happened yesterday. I think this is a safety issue as well as an operational and customer service issue. Stations should always have someone to answer the in range ACARS along with manning the radio. I talked with the station and was told that the person who answers the ACARS wasn't on duty yet.
