Narrative:
Guam tower cleared [us] for takeoff on runway 6L. The clearance continued 'after departure turn left direct richh climb maintain 9000 ft'. He also advised us of traffic that departed on 6R earlier. However; he did not inform us that the traffic would be traveling in the same direction as we were. After takeoff; at 800 MSL; I started turning left to richh. Tower instructed us to contact guam center. The captain was checking in with guam center and before guam center responded; the TCAS TA caution was [heard] over the speakers. Autopilot was not engaged. At this time we were at 1100 ft MSL. I momentarily looked at the screen to see where the target was. I saw that the traffic was at 500 ft. Below and climbing. I immediately increased the climb to give us better separation. At initial contact with guam center; we were instructed to climb to FL380. After we identified the traffic; captain called back to guam center to verify the cleared to altitude. We were cleared again to richh and went on [our] way.
