Narrative:
Upon landing hot air balloon, hit a wind shear, carried balloon into distribution single power line. Hit was at flying wires, arced balloon came to rest on ground and distribution line was touching flying wires. The contact interrupted the circuit. It was off until local power company replaced wire on pole and restored service. Location, vanalystine, tx. No injuries, minor damage to basket.

Title: HOT AIR BALLOON ATTEMPTING A LNDG IS CARRIED INTO CONTACT WITH POWER DISTRIBUTION LINE BY SURFACE WIND.
Narrative: UPON LNDG HOT AIR BALLOON, HIT A WIND SHEAR, CARRIED BALLOON INTO DISTRIBUTION SINGLE PWR LINE. HIT WAS AT FLYING WIRES, ARCED BALLOON CAME TO REST ON GND AND DISTRIBUTION LINE WAS TOUCHING FLYING WIRES. THE CONTACT INTERRUPTED THE CIRCUIT. IT WAS OFF UNTIL LCL PWR COMPANY REPLACED WIRE ON POLE AND RESTORED SVC. LOCATION, VANALYSTINE, TX. NO INJURIES, MINOR DAMAGE TO BASKET.
