Narrative:
Winds were very high at abq. Runway 08/26 was closed. The ATIS stated peak wind was 300/40. I have never landed on runway 30 but from everything I could read we were not prohibited from doing so. I put the runways 21 and 30 into the [performance weight and balance] page and sent it off. I thought if runway 30 would be unauthorized; we would get a negative reply. The data came back positive and both runways appeared legal. The first officer and I talked about it for a few minutes and we had never experienced landing on this runway. I sent an ACARS message to dispatch to see if there were any restrictions. They replied promptly with runway 30 was limited to 120;000 pounds; so we landed runway 21 without incident.it would be nice to have this information available on the airport pages. I remember long ago we were legal to land on runway 25 at reno; which is very similar to runway 30 at abq. The first officer and I on the next leg began digging deeper; and he did find the airport diagram for abq. In the notes the weight restriction was listed.put information on the airport pages about the viability of using runway 30. If ACARS would not have been available; and ATC concurred; we could have possibly landed on this runway. The flight right in front of us went around due to high crosswinds. Also; why did the data from the [performance weight and balance] return legal for runway 30 if it is an unauthorized runway for our weight?
