Narrative:
After departing cha we were in a climb and noticed inoperative flags on both RMI's and HSI's. This left us with only a wet compass for navigation and directional information. At this point we asked center if we could hold our present heading so we could try to rectify the problem. After exhausting the procedures in the pilot's handbook (where were very few) we informed center of our problem and ask for vectors to clt and requested and were given an ASR approach into clt. We kept the aircraft in VFR conditions and landed west/O incident. Upon arriving at the gate in clt I made an entry in the aircraft log book and noticed that I had inadvertently put in the wrong flight # for the leg we had just completed.

Title: FLT CREW OF MLG ACR DEPARTING CHA DISCOVERS THAT THEIR RMI AND HSI ARE INOPERATIVE. THEY ASK FOR ASR APCH INTO CLT.
Narrative: AFTER DEPARTING CHA WE WERE IN A CLB AND NOTICED INOP FLAGS ON BOTH RMI'S AND HSI'S. THIS LEFT US WITH ONLY A WET COMPASS FOR NAV AND DIRECTIONAL INFO. AT THIS POINT WE ASKED CENTER IF WE COULD HOLD OUR PRESENT HDG SO WE COULD TRY TO RECTIFY THE PROB. AFTER EXHAUSTING THE PROCS IN THE PLT'S HANDBOOK (WHERE WERE VERY FEW) WE INFORMED CENTER OF OUR PROB AND ASK FOR VECTORS TO CLT AND REQUESTED AND WERE GIVEN AN ASR APCH INTO CLT. WE KEPT THE ACFT IN VFR CONDITIONS AND LANDED W/O INCIDENT. UPON ARRIVING AT THE GATE IN CLT I MADE AN ENTRY IN THE ACFT LOG BOOK AND NOTICED THAT I HAD INADVERTENTLY PUT IN THE WRONG FLT # FOR THE LEG WE HAD JUST COMPLETED.
