Narrative:
On apr/mon/90 pilot rented or borrowed small transport for a non-charter business flight. On the return flight from wichita, ks the pilot shut down the left engine due to it running rough. He flew to the nearest airport for landing. On short final he pulled the power back on the right engine for landing and the engine quit. The plane landed short of the runway, collapsing the nose gear. Minimal damage was done to the aircraft and the passenger were not injured.

Title: A TWIN ENGINE SMT ON APCH WITH ONE ENGINE INOPERATIVE LANDS SHORT AS PLT PULLS POWER ON GOOD ENGINE PREMATURELY.
Narrative: ON APR/MON/90 PLT RENTED OR BORROWED SMT FOR A NON-CHARTER BUSINESS FLT. ON THE RETURN FLT FROM WICHITA, KS THE PLT SHUT DOWN THE LEFT ENGINE DUE TO IT RUNNING ROUGH. HE FLEW TO THE NEAREST ARPT FOR LNDG. ON SHORT FINAL HE PULLED THE POWER BACK ON THE RIGHT ENGINE FOR LNDG AND THE ENGINE QUIT. THE PLANE LANDED SHORT OF THE RWY, COLLAPSING THE NOSE GEAR. MINIMAL DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE ACFT AND THE PAX WERE NOT INJURED.
