Narrative:
At anc ARTCC the FAA has put a temporary supervisor in charge of a crew. This supervisor is not area rated or knowledgeable of the area she is supervising. While this supervisor is not controling air traffic in this area, she is responsible for overseeing the operations of the area during certain parts of the week. With her very limited knowledge of the operations of the area or lack of her area rating she may cause confusion on the control room floor in the event of an emergency situation, staffing requirements, sector overload of traffic, special problems associated with equipment outages, etc. I would compare it to allowing a member of the air crew not ever having been type rated.
