Narrative:
While flying ILS runway 4R final approach into ewr in IMC and windy turbulent conditions the aircraft encountered a sudden turbulence intensity that disconnected the autopilot while performing the ILS approach. I initiated a go-around and was vectored back around for another approach and landed with no issues.cause: wind turbulence or wind shear or wake turbulence or combination of these.

Title: C-208B pilot reported executing a go-around after encountering wake turbulence or wind shear that resulted in the autopilot disconnecting.
