Narrative:

Pilot flying. Fuzzy arrival las. Level at 5;500 feet and cleared visual approximately one mile east of bld. Initiated descent to 3;800 feet and turn toward FAF relin at 180 knots. During descent; aware of terrain and visual with terrain so I commanded first officer to set 0 FPM descent and leveled off at 4;500 feet. Approximately 5-10 seconds after leveling off received terrain warning. Per procedures for daytime with terrain warning; reacted to terrain warning and returned aircraft to desired state. Once warning subsided; resumed the approach with no incidents. Stable approach criteria met easily. Although avoidance procedure initiated; terrain was always in view and neither crew member felt that aircraft was in unsafe position.
