Narrative:
The aircraft came in with a left wing leak write up. According to history for the aircraft and also what I witnessed on ECAM (electronic centralized aircraft monitor)was crossbleed messages and an APU bleed fault as well upon entering the airplane. The history was about the crossbleed faulting on several flights. This was generating left and right wing leaks along with the crossbleed faults. Performing bite checks on the bmc's (bleed-air monitoring computer) was producing no faults for the wing leaks but yet generating faults for the crossbleed valve. I performed the troubleshooting per the tsm (trouble shooting manual). I called out for a crossbleed valve to be changed since we didn't have one [at this station]. I therefore put it on MEL for that. The aircraft was dispatched with an improper MEL for that write up.
