Narrative:
[On a] training mission; we were proceeding to a specified grid search area for a search and rescue exercise approximately 30 NM south of hou. A tfr was in our flight path and was located on vuh 297/17; 2 NM radius; surface to 2;000 ft. This was briefed prior to departure and the location was studied online. I decided to proceed to the east of the tfr; then south to the designated grid area. My tablet had a hou tac chart displayed with aircraft moving symbol and tracking; but not the tfr.I made a concerted effort to avoid the tfr and thought I was clear. However; after looking at my tracking results on my tablet; there may have been a possibly of momentarily penetrating the northeaster or eastern edge of the tfr. The next day; I flew near the same area on another mission and this time I had a paper chart in the aircraft with the tfr clearly depicted.
