Narrative:
This was a pre-FAA check ride. The student was asked to perform a soft field landing on a grass runway. Approach was normal; but with no discussion on rollout. We stopped on the grass and proceeded to hard surface runway; perpendicular to the grass runway there is a tree line that somewhat blocks the approch view of runway 27 also there is a blind spot with the high wing cessna 150. We missed seeing the approaching aircraft. We also missed radio calls because the radio was set too low. This was our mistake. Corrective action will be to go back to this airport and place the aircraft in the same spot to [evaluate] line of sight. Set up a lesson plan that deals with this problem. Will try to find the other pilot. I will write a second report after I reconstruct this incident.
