Narrative:

Flew into tkpk for an evening landing and was surprised that the runway centerline (landing toward the east) was effectively invisible. Our morning departure revealed excessive rubber deposits covering the centerline; and the majority of the landing area.earlier this week I heard another captain describing the flight to tkpk; also with an evening landing; and I asked for any thoughts. Captain stated; 'there was effectively no lateral position guidance during the landing.' my thoughts exactly. (I would have/should have submitted this earlier; but wanted a second opinion. This safety concern is exacerbated by the very limited lighting in the area; and would be even worse under wet or limited visibility conditions.
