Narrative:

This was my first solo in my cessna 150. This incident occurred right after my first solo landing. After my first landing; I wanted to exit the runway; taxi back for my second take off. After landed on the runway; while I was on the landing roll; the tower asked me to exit on taxiway west. I should have said unable; thinking about it now; but at the moment; I tried to exit on to taxiway west even though I was too fast. This resulted in my aircraft skidding off the runway and I entered the grass area on the side of the runway. At this point the tower asked if I needed any help and I told them I am going to try and get back on the taxi way; which I did. Following which; the tower asked me to standby for a couple of minutes and then they asked me to taxi back to my flight school. At this point; I switched over to ground frequency and requested taxi back to my flight school. I feel the important lesson here is not to be pressured into making decisions especially if it is unsafe even if the tower has a request. I have now discussed this with my instructor and look forward to further discussions; ground school and additional training before I can complete my first solo again.
