Narrative:
Departed lax VFR to bur with lax approach on vector and assigned heading and altitude 4500' MSL, led aircraft to edge of TCA and start of burbank arsa then dropped with no handoff to burbank. Took 60 seconds to contact bur approach and climb to 5000' to top arsa. Approach controller should have not given vectors and led aircraft to edge of arsa then dropped it and squawk 1200 with the violating of arsa only seconds away at course and speed of aircraft.
