Narrative:
An IFR international flight plan was scheduled to mpmg. All in route flight was performed as normal with no incidents. Upon arrival to the airport area; we were informed that our destination airport was closed due to heavy rain. In view of this circumstance; we requested to divert to a different airport.once we were vectored to that airport; we were notified by the ATC that another airport had better meteorological conditions and we decided to proceed to that airport and then notified to proceed with an RNAV approach. Once we were cleared there; ATC advised that mpmg had resumed operations and we could continue to our original destination. We were assigned a visual approach. We proceeded to perform a right down wind pattern to under visual approach with light rain. Once we were on the final approach we suffered a sudden descend and the copilot notified me that we were below the four (4) red pappi lights. I proceeded immediately to increase engine power and we heard an impact noise. We continued with the landing sequence without any eventuality. Once the passengers disembarked; we performed a 360 inspection on the aircraft and noticed all the damage that occurred.
