Narrative:
During our preflight setup; we received ACARS print-outs for 20 dangerous goods items; to include over a 1;000lbs of dry ice. The captain contacted dispatch to verify the legitimacy of so many dangerous goods loaded onto one aircraft. Dispatch confirmed with load planning that there was too many dangerous goods loaded on our aircraft and that they would coordinate with ramp personnel to remove some of them of the items. A ramp supervisor came to the cockpit to confirm there was an excess of dangerous goods on the aircraft and it would take about 15-20 minutes to off-load. About a half hour later we received a message that they were removing all the dangerous goods from the aircraft.
