Narrative:
We were cleared for takeoff. There was windshear in the area; so we planned to use toga (take-off/go around) thrust for takeoff. After I read out loud the fmas (flight mode annunciator) displayed on the pfd (primary flight display); we encountered an ECAM (electronic centralized aircraft monitor). My immediate reaction was the thrust was not set in the toga detent since this thrust setting is not common for us. As I glanced to see if the thrust levers were in the toga detent and read the ECAM; I saw the levers were in the detent and the ECAM was not what I had expected.we received a brakes- released ECAM. I was confused because I did not have my feet on the toe brakes and I quickly looked down to see if the parking brake was set; it was not. At this point; I knew V1 was approaching fast; due to the toga thrust. I queried 'abort?' before we hit V1 and the captain elected to continue. I was unsure if we had lost all brakes due to the convoluted ECAM; so I complied and we continued takeoff without incident.later; we discovered that this ECAM was specific to the new A320 airplanes that we received within the last few weeks and that is why I did not have as much familiarity with it. I remember reading the [advisory] about the special ecams but it was difficult to recall that info within the short amount of time we had to make a decision.
