Narrative:

Our initial ATC clearance at oak was 'cleared to bur skyline 1 departure fellows transition, cross to oak 6 DME fix at or below 2000', maintain 10000', expect further clearance to FL330 10 mins after departure.' a frequency for departure and a squawk were issued and we were instructed, 'do not exceed 250 KTS until advised.' when we asked for a taxi clearance at oak, ground responded 'wind 110 at 11, will you be able to use 29?' we responded, 'we'd rather have 11.' we were issued several clrncs to taxi, due to traffic, to runway 11 at taxiway 7 and told to expect a new departure clearance from ground control. Having switched to tower and while holding short of runway 11 we told tower that we were advised to expect a new clearance from ground control and hadn't received it. We asked if we should return to ground. Reply: 'no, you'll get your departure controller on the runway.' while clearance us into position tower cleared us to 'make an immediate right turn after takeoff to 290 degrees, keep it close to the airport.' while in position the captain asked tower, 'do you have any restrictions, like the 6 mi restriction?' the controller he stated then answered 'no.' we were cleared to takeoff, made our right turn and were instructed to contact bay departure. We checked in with bay: 'bay departure, medium large transport climbing to 10000'.' reply: 'medium large transport maintain 2000', you have traffic climbing through 2200' off sfo.' copilot: 'roger, medium large transport out of 2600' descending to 2000'; where is that traffic?' bay: 'medium large transport, I'm holding him at 3000', expedite climb to 13000'.' later a different controller asked us if we had received a 2000' climb restriction after takeoff.

Title: ATCT LCL CTLR DID NOT REINSTATE AN ALT RESTRICTION WHEN HE ISSUED A NEW DEP INSTRUCTION WHICH RESULTED IN LESS THAN STANDARD SEPARATION WITH AN ACFT OFF SFO.

Narrative: OUR INITIAL ATC CLRNC AT OAK WAS 'CLRED TO BUR SKYLINE 1 DEP FELLOWS TRANSITION, CROSS TO OAK 6 DME FIX AT OR BELOW 2000', MAINTAIN 10000', EXPECT FURTHER CLRNC TO FL330 10 MINS AFTER DEP.' A FREQ FOR DEP AND A SQUAWK WERE ISSUED AND WE WERE INSTRUCTED, 'DO NOT EXCEED 250 KTS UNTIL ADVISED.' WHEN WE ASKED FOR A TAXI CLRNC AT OAK, GND RESPONDED 'WIND 110 AT 11, WILL YOU BE ABLE TO USE 29?' WE RESPONDED, 'WE'D RATHER HAVE 11.' WE WERE ISSUED SEVERAL CLRNCS TO TAXI, DUE TO TFC, TO RWY 11 AT TXWY 7 AND TOLD TO EXPECT A NEW DEP CLRNC FROM GND CTL. HAVING SWITCHED TO TWR AND WHILE HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 11 WE TOLD TWR THAT WE WERE ADVISED TO EXPECT A NEW CLRNC FROM GND CTL AND HADN'T RECEIVED IT. WE ASKED IF WE SHOULD RETURN TO GND. REPLY: 'NO, YOU'LL GET YOUR DEP CTLR ON THE RWY.' WHILE CLRNC US INTO POS TWR CLRED US TO 'MAKE AN IMMEDIATE RIGHT TURN AFTER TKOF TO 290 DEGS, KEEP IT CLOSE TO THE ARPT.' WHILE IN POS THE CAPT ASKED TWR, 'DO YOU HAVE ANY RESTRICTIONS, LIKE THE 6 MI RESTRICTION?' THE CTLR HE STATED THEN ANSWERED 'NO.' WE WERE CLRED TO TKOF, MADE OUR RIGHT TURN AND WERE INSTRUCTED TO CONTACT BAY DEP. WE CHECKED IN WITH BAY: 'BAY DEP, MLG CLBING TO 10000'.' REPLY: 'MLG MAINTAIN 2000', YOU HAVE TFC CLBING THROUGH 2200' OFF SFO.' COPLT: 'ROGER, MLG OUT OF 2600' DSNDING TO 2000'; WHERE IS THAT TFC?'
