Narrative:
We were doors closed ready for pushback when we received a triple chime master warning that indicated on the EICAS (engine indicating and crew alerting system) 'smoke bagg'. The first officer (first officer) and I looked at the warning and saw that the red baggage cargo fire extinguisher button was lit. We ran associated QRH for smoke bagg. I called the flight attendant and asked her to go to the back of the aircraft and check the cargo peephole to see if she could see a fire in the cargo compartment. She called us back and told us that she could not see any indication of a fire. I then told the flight attendant that we were going to deplane the aircraft. The flight attendant asked the gate agent to reattach the jet attachment. I made PA to the passengers that we were going to deplane the aircraft and called the ramp to notify them that we had a fire indication in the cargo compartment and that we need the fire trucks. The first officer and I reviewed the QRH to ensure we completed all checks lists and turned the aircraft off. I made a quick sweep of aircraft and went in to the jet bridge and met with the police and fire department.

Title: EMB-145 flight crew reported a cargo fire light while parked at the gate just after the cabin doors were closed.
Narrative: We were doors closed ready for pushback when we received a triple chime master warning that indicated on the EICAS (Engine Indicating and Crew Alerting System) 'Smoke Bagg'. The FO (First Officer) and I looked at the warning and saw that the red baggage cargo fire extinguisher button was lit. The FA asked the gate agent to reattach the jet attachment. I made PA to the passengers that we were going to deplane the aircraft and called the ramp to notify them that we had a fire indication in the cargo compartment and that we need the fire trucks. The FO and I reviewed the QRH to ensure we completed all checks lists and turned the aircraft off. I made a quick sweep of aircraft and went in to the jet bridge and met with the police and fire department.
