Narrative:
When loading data for landing into sfo for 28L; first officer loaded the missed approach required climb gradient; and we got to wondering if it was a different gradient required for the CAT ii sa approach; since it has lower minimums and thus is further 'down range' when the missed starts. After looking at the plate; we couldn't find a required climb gradient but the missed approaches for the two are the same. Looking at 28R; all the ilss have a climb gradient. Specifically; sfo 11-2A has no missed approach climb gradient specified; the same approach (11-2) that has higher minimums (200 versus 100 feet) has [a] note requiring 325/NM to 2100. Prm (precision runway monitoring) approach (11-3A) has same 325 to 2100. All the 28R ILS; ILS cat ii/III; and ILS prm have climb gradients required. Sometimes they are a box note at the bottom (like 11-3A and ll-2) and sometimes they are in the missed approach box like 11-4; 4A; and 4B (28R).
