Narrative:

I work for a regional airline and am on a 24 hour reserve subject for a call at any time. I received a call 2 hours prior to show time for a trip. This trip had been scheduled for me 1 day prior but I got no prior notification! This is routine, not the exception. This trip is a continuous duty overnight which means we get 3 hours of sleep in a hotel. I feel that on the trip I fly well below average. This is just asking for an accident. PIC far's state that I must not have a medical deficiency (far 61.53), but I can pass a medical but not perform up to my potential. I cannot call in sick for this reason. If I do, all of us know that we will receive disciplinary action. Please look at this safety problem.
