Narrative:

Upon touchdown; I felt the nose gear give. I tried to hold the weight off of the nose wheel with some back pressure. The plane slightly bounced and rolled to a stop. Upon stopping on the active; it was clear that the nose wheel was broken and that there was a prop strike. The mechanic on site stated that the landing gear was down and locked; the gear broke. There were no injuries to anyone or damage to any other plane or property. Looking back; I wish I had more training on emergency landing situations. Going forward; I must look for this type of training before flying again.
