Narrative:
During takeoff I experienced an dramatic 'dip' in the middle of the runway at alturas (kaat). This little imperfection has been here for a while; however it is getting much more dramatic. It is to the point that it may cause enough force on a retractable gear airplane to collapse the nosewheel. The VASI had been out of service for two years. Now it has been decommissioned for some reason. This is a safety hazard to have a non-precision approach at this airport with no way to safely transition to the runway environment.
