Narrative:
Both engines stuck in high idle mode. Requires weight reduction from runway limited weight. Due to the way this MEL is documented. When departure runway was changed it was necessary to consult 3 different dispatch documents plus 2 manual, (each carried by a different crew member). We thought we had worked it out but during cruise determined that we were overweight for the runway we used. Climb performance would have been ok. The only real problem would have been a V1 engine failure, and no reverse thrust on remaining engine in event of an abort at speed near V1.
