Narrative:

During preflight inspection of the hazmat container; I was unable to verify the contents of a box because it was packed in such a way that none of the packing labels were visible. Upon telling the dg agent; she called her manager. He showed up and agreed that the label should be visible. He then released the netting enough so that we could verify the contents; and re-secured the cargo. The hazmat package was incorrectly oriented so that labels could not be seen during preflight inspection. The package could have been correctly oriented so that hazmat labels were visible during the preflight inspection.
