Narrative:
Prior to descent; we noticed a discrepancy between the arrival in our [jeppesen flight bag] charts (piglet 4) and the arrival in the FMC (piglet 5). Upon investigation it was discovered that the upcoming database effective approximately (date) was already active. It is unknown whether it was updated in error or if the new database was loaded prior to our use of the aircraft. The arrivals are identical to each other until the downwind leg; landing north. The airport was in a north flow at the time of our arrival. After the fix twona; the subsequent waypoints have been renamed and moved very slightly by one or two tenths of a mile. The course flown being the same; we verified our position using distance from twona; as calculated from the piglt 4 charts in [jeppesen flight bag]. The arrival was uneventful.
