Narrative:
We were inbound from the southeast, to the airport, and cleared the visibility approach to 18R. When we called the tower he gave us a wind check (light out of southwest) and cleared us to land 24L. I read back the landing clearance for 24L and proceeded. The VASI's were on and the runway was clear. We landed and were notified that we were supposed to land on 18R. It was a controller error; however, I should have questioned it since the ATIS said 24L, 6R was closed.
