Narrative:

I was the copilot on flight from lgb to sjc. I copied the clearance on the flight plan from 'clearance' on the radio. This was to be my first takeoff and departure from lgb as I am a new copilot and have only been on the line for approximately 1 1/2 months. Unfortunately, I misinterpreted the clearance as it was read to me and wrote down 'climb to 15000' and turn left to 270 degree'. It should have been 'climb to 1500' and turn left to 270 degree.' this did seem strange to me at the time and I mentioned it to the captain, but he was busy with other duties and didn't comment. I feel that the reason this mistake was not caught by somebody was that I read back an 'abbreviated clearance' to clearance control and only said our transponder, speed, and flight number. I should have read the entire clearance back over the radio and then maybe 'clearance' would have caught the mistake. Consequently, when we took off we climbed straight out to 3000' and did not turn to 270 degree at 1500'. Departure soon gave us a vector to the left and a climb to 8000'. By not turning we had unknowingly committed several violations and we were asked to call la center upon reaching sjc. We called as soon as we arrived and were informed of our mistake. The supervisor gave us a warning and claimed that they would not take action against us.

Title: ACR MISCOPIES CLRNC, CLIMBS ABOVE ASSIGNED.

Narrative: I WAS THE COPLT ON FLT FROM LGB TO SJC. I COPIED THE CLRNC ON THE FLT PLAN FROM 'CLRNC' ON THE RADIO. THIS WAS TO BE MY FIRST TKOF AND DEP FROM LGB AS I AM A NEW COPLT AND HAVE ONLY BEEN ON THE LINE FOR APPROX 1 1/2 MONTHS. UNFORTUNATELY, I MISINTERPRETED THE CLRNC AS IT WAS READ TO ME AND WROTE DOWN 'CLB TO 15000' AND TURN L TO 270 DEG'. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN 'CLB TO 1500' AND TURN L TO 270 DEG.' THIS DID SEEM STRANGE TO ME AT THE TIME AND I MENTIONED IT TO THE CAPT, BUT HE WAS BUSY WITH OTHER DUTIES AND DIDN'T COMMENT. I FEEL THAT THE REASON THIS MISTAKE WAS NOT CAUGHT BY SOMEBODY WAS THAT I READ BACK AN 'ABBREVIATED CLRNC' TO CLRNC CTL AND ONLY SAID OUR XPONDER, SPD, AND FLT NUMBER. I SHOULD HAVE READ THE ENTIRE CLRNC BACK OVER THE RADIO AND THEN MAYBE 'CLRNC' WOULD HAVE CAUGHT THE MISTAKE. CONSEQUENTLY, WHEN WE TOOK OFF WE CLBED STRAIGHT OUT TO 3000' AND DID NOT TURN TO 270 DEG AT 1500'. DEP SOON GAVE US A VECTOR TO THE L AND A CLB TO 8000'. BY NOT TURNING WE HAD UNKNOWINGLY COMMITTED SEVERAL VIOLATIONS AND WE WERE ASKED TO CALL LA CTR UPON REACHING SJC. WE CALLED AS SOON AS WE ARRIVED AND WERE INFORMED OF OUR MISTAKE. THE SUPVR GAVE US A WARNING AND CLAIMED THAT THEY WOULD NOT TAKE ACTION AGAINST US.
